The Basics — How a 360 Booth Works
A 360 video booth is made up of three things: a circular platform (usually illuminated with LEDs), a camera mounted on a rotating arm, and on-site editing software. Guests step onto the platform — up to three or four at a time — and the camera arm spins around them at speed, capturing footage from every angle.
The result is a short video, typically 10–20 seconds, showing the guests from a continuously rotating perspective. Add slow-motion, dramatic lighting, confetti, wind machines or special effects and you've got a clip that looks like it belongs in a music video. The whole thing is edited on the spot by a professional operator and sent to guests' phones via QR code within about 60 seconds.
That's the bit that makes it properly clever: guests get their video instantly, whilst the moment is still fresh. They share it on Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok — and if there's a branded overlay with your event name or logo, that branding goes everywhere the video goes.
What Makes It Different from a Traditional Photo Booth
A traditional photo booth captures a single moment — a still image from one angle. A 360 video booth captures an experience in motion from every direction. The difference is a bit like the difference between a photograph and a film clip: one freezes a moment, the other brings it to life.
In practical terms, the 360 booth tends to be more of a spectacle. It's an open setup (no curtain or cabin), so other guests can watch and cheer whilst their mates are on the platform. That creates a natural buzz and draws people in. At events we've worked, the 360 booth often becomes the single most popular attraction — the spot where the biggest crowd gathers.
That said, traditional booths and 360 booths aren't competing — they do different things. Many clients, particularly at weddings, combine both: a classic photo booth or retro vintage booth for printed keepsakes and the guest book, and a 360° video booth for shareable video content. Different experiences, both brilliant.
What's Included
When you hire a 360 video booth from a professional company, the package typically includes the platform and camera rig (delivered and set up for you), a professional attendant to run the booth and guide guests, unlimited sessions throughout the hire period, on-site editing with effects, music and overlays, and instant digital sharing via QR code or AirDrop.
Photo Booth packages usually add custom branded overlays (your names, logo, or event hashtag on every video), a wider choice of effects and editing styles, and a longer hire period. Some companies also offer a post-event content pack — a USB or digital folder with every video from the night, handy for brands wanting to use the content afterwards.
How Much Does a 360 Video Booth Cost?
In Ibiza, 360 video booth hire typically costs between €550 and €999 depending on the package and duration. Here at Photo Booth Ibiza, the 360 booth starts at the same price as our other booth types — €550 for a 3-hour 360° Video Booth package, €650 for 3 hours with branding, and €999 for the full 5-hour VIP experience.
Prices in the UK are broadly similar — a comparable 360 booth hire for a wedding in London or the South East runs £600–£900 for 3 hours. The technology isn't cheap to buy and maintain, but the hire price reflects the fact that you're getting a fully managed service: equipment, operator, editing, sharing — the lot.

Best Events for a 360 Video Booth
Weddings. The first dance, the bridal party, the group shots with confetti — 360 videos capture wedding moments in a way that feels cinematic and special. The content gets shared across the guests' socials with your wedding hashtag attached.
Hen and stag dos. Slow-motion videos of your hen or stag group jumping, dancing, throwing shapes — this is the content that dominates the group chat for weeks afterwards.
Corporate events. Branded videos from a product launch or brand activation are organic marketing gold. Every video shared by an attendee puts your brand in front of their network, with your logo and hashtag baked in.
Villa parties. The LED platform by the pool at sunset is a properly impressive setup. Villa parties are where the 360 booth looks its absolute best.
Club nights. The strobe-lit, high-energy environment of Ibiza's clubs is what the 360 booth was born for. The content goes viral before the night's even over.
How Much Space Do You Need?
The platform itself is about a metre across. The camera arm needs roughly 3×3 metres of clear space to rotate freely. It works on any flat surface — indoors, outdoors, on grass, on tiles, on a terrace. The only requirement is a power outlet within reach (most venues have outdoor sockets; if not, a generator can be arranged).

Is it worth it?
If you want entertainment that doubles as content creation, absolutely. 360 videos get shared far more than static photos. For weddings, parties and brand events, the content guests create is genuinely impressive and memorable.
How many people can use it at once?
Typically 3–4 guests at a time on the platform. Sessions take about 30–45 seconds each, so throughput is fast — hundreds of guests per hour with no long queues.
