You've got the villa, the guest list and the dates. Now you need to turn it into a night nobody forgets. Here's how to plan an Ibiza villa party that actually works — from entertainment and catering to the bits most people forget.
Pick the Right Villa
Not every Ibiza villa is party-friendly. Before you book, check three things: does the villa allow events and music? Is there outdoor space for 20+ people? Are the neighbours close enough to complain? The areas around San José, San Antonio and the north coast tend to have more remote villas with generous outdoor space. Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town villas are often closer together.
For bigger groups, look for villas with a pool terrace, covered outdoor area (essential if there's any chance of wind) and outdoor power sockets. The power point matters more than you'd think — if you're hiring entertainment like a photo booth, DJ decks or lighting, you'll need somewhere to plug in.
Sort the Entertainment
The entertainment is what separates a good villa party from a great one. A Bluetooth speaker is fine for background music, but if you want people up and dancing, you need something more. The most popular options we see at Ibiza villa parties are a DJ (loads of local DJs do private villa sets), a 360° video booth or open air photo booth (we deliver to any villa on the island), live music or a saxophone player, and sometimes a cocktail maker.
The photo booth works particularly well at villa parties because it gives the evening a focal point. People naturally gravitate towards it, especially after a few drinks. It breaks the ice, gets people laughing together, and creates prints and videos that everyone takes home. Pricing starts from €550 with delivery, setup and attendant all included.
Get the Food Right
Catering at a villa is easier than you'd think. Several Ibiza-based caterers specialise in private villa events — they'll come to your villa, set up a BBQ or a grazing table, cook everything on site, serve it, and clean up afterwards. For a more casual do, you can pre-order platters and tapas from local restaurants and collect them on the day. Just make sure you've got enough fridge space.
Timing & Logistics
Start time: Sunset is when Ibiza comes alive. Start the party around 7–8pm so guests arrive in daylight, settle in by the pool, and the evening builds naturally as it gets dark.
Transport: Sort taxis or a minibus in advance. Getting a taxi out of a remote villa at 2am can be a nightmare — pre-booking is essential. Several companies do group transfers for villa events.
Neighbours: If the villa has neighbours within earshot, be smart about noise. Keep music at a reasonable level after midnight, or better yet, book a villa where there are no neighbours at all.
Power: If you're running a DJ setup, photo booth and lighting, check that the villa's electrics can handle it. Most modern villas are fine, but older ones occasionally trip the fuse if you plug in too much at once.
The Checklist
Weeks before: Book the villa (check events policy), book catering, book entertainment (DJ, photo booth, musicians), arrange group transport.
Days before: Confirm all bookings, buy drinks and stock the fridge, create a playlist as backup, check outdoor lighting works.
On the day: Entertainment teams arrive and set up (we typically arrive 1–2 hours before guests), caterers set up, put out towels and pool inflatables, test the speakers, chill the drinks, and relax — you've done the hard bit.
